Becoming A NOTO Member

Why your Membership is Important?

A membership at any level provides core support for NOTO’s not-for-profit operations and allows us to more effectively deal with the issues facing the tourism industry. A large and diverse membership base provides considerable support for our applications to receive funds from foundations, corporations and government. When we speak on behalf of many, our voice is louder and stronger and more influential. It means we are better positioned to satisfy the needs of the industry.

NOTO has recently introduced Public (Associate) memberships to support our efforts. It is important for government to realise that visitors who choose Ontario as their vacation destination, support a prosperous tourism industry.

Currently, NOTO has about 400 members of which 329 are tourist operators and the rest are made up of industry product and service providers and regional tourism organizations. We would like that to be 2,000!

To build our membership we are asking everyone – our current members, supporters and now the public, to help with this recruitment. There is nothing more persuasive than direct personal contact and the good recommendations of our members. If your friends understand how strongly you feel about supporting NOTO’s efforts to enhance the quality of outdoor recreational experiences, we’re sure they will want to help as well.
