Bay of Quinte Country…not just for summer
Bay of Quinte Country is a well-known destination for boaters and anglers, golfers, and culture enthusaists. The area includes Brighton, Quinte West, Belleville, Prince Edward County, Deseronto, Tyendinaga, and Greater Napanee. The Bay is ideal for sailing and cruising on calm waters protected by Prince Edward County, Ontario's newest Wine, Culinary, and Arts region. It is also a world-class fishery for Walleye and Bass, attracting both amateur
and professional anglers all year long. The area boasts over 17 golf courses including championship Black Bear Ridge, and Timber Ridge. The Bay of Quinte is the southern gateway to the Trent Severn Waterway, and the western entrance to the 1000 Islands region, making it the favourite course for sailors and power boaters alike. And visitors experience great history with the National Airforce Museum of Canada and great entertainment at The Empire Theatre with multiple shows weekly including up to 5,000 people in their outdoor stage: Empire Theatre Live. Ski in the winter at Batawa Ski Hill.
Kayaking and windsurfing are attracting more and more people to the Bay and surrounding waterways. In the Spring and Fall, bird migrations draw increasing numbers of visitors to Presqu'ile Park to marvel at the many different species stopping for a rest. Looking for a beach get-a-way? Look no further than area Provincial Parks Sandbanks and North Beach as well as Presqui'ile with miles of biking and hiking trails and look to area hotels for E-bike rentals.
